Ceiling fan air movement is measured in CFM, or cubic feet per minute. The greater the velocity of air flowing in a space means more wind creating a cooling effect and feeling. The higher the CFM of a fan you are considering, the more air that fan will move. You don’t need the highest CFM, you need the right amount of CFM for your space.
The main difference between the number of blades used is aesthetics. With DC motors, the RPM speed is adjust based on the total weight of the blades. More blades being used means slowing down the RPM of the blades, but keeping an almost identical CFM. All Swing Fans are designed for optimal air delivery in all configurations.
You need to choose the right size fan for each room. If the fan is too small or too big it will not work efficiently in the space.
For spaces up to 9 Sqm we recommend using a 36” fan blade set.
For spaces up to 11 Sqm we recommend using a 42” fan blade set.
For spaces up to 13 Sqm we recommend using a 48” fan blade set.
For spaces over 13 Sqm we recommend using at least a 52” fan blade set.
A ceiling fan creating wind in a space that has a cooling effect but does not lower the temperature in a space. The cooling effect created by the wind will allow you to feel equally comfortable in a space that is a few degrees warmer, this will enable you to raise the thermostat from 24 degrees to 26 degrees while maintaining the same comfort level. This is how a ceiling fan makes your air-conditioning be more efficient.
Hot air rises. A ceiling fan will enable you to force this hot air back down off the ceiling and into the living space. The warm air is circulated where it is needed, and the heating system can work less to heat the space. This will save you money on your heating bill. To use a Swing Fan in winter mode, make sure your blades are set to spin Clockwise. This pushes the air up against the ceilings and around in the room without blowing air directly at you which would create a cooling effect.
In summer months Swing Fans should be operated in a counter clockwise direction to push the air downwards. In winter months Swing fans should be operating in a clockwise direction to push the air upwards.

On average, our DC ceiling fan running on high speed will consume only 32 watts of electricity per hour. That’s about 3 cents for every 8 hours.
A Swingfan can save up to 60% on cooling costs, and up to 15% on heating costs.
Swingfans warranties cover the motor parts for 25 years. Other components such as blade, parts and covers are guaranteed for 1 year.

Swingfans can be adjusted with the remote control included with the fan. Our remote control improves the performance and operating flexibility of the fan with our six speed settings, reverse operation, on/off and light control, all straight from the wireless remote control. The additional light kit can easily be installed either with the fan during new installations or on fans which have been previously installed and in use for some time. The installation is easy and does not require any additional wiring.
Swingfans offers LED light kits in a few wattage and lumen packages. The light kit can easily be installed either with the fan during new installations or on fans that have been previously installed and in use for some time. The installation is easy and does not require any additional wiring. This is only applicable on Swingfan models that are marked as having an optional light kit.

All Swingfans include a “Memory Function” that means that the fan and light will come back to the last mode set on the remote control. If you leave the fan set on speed 3 and the light to “on”, flipping the wall switch will toggle these modes between on and off. The speed or on/off of the light can be adjusted with the remote control included with the fan. Our remote control improves the performance and operating flexibility of the fan with our six speed settings, reverse operation, on/off and light control, all straight from the wireless remote control.
Ceiling fans should be installed approximately 2.3-2.5 meters from the floor for optimal performance. In the case of taller ceilings, downrod accessories are used to properly position fans at the correct height.
The motor is made up of many components but these pieces are not serviceable. If the motor is found to be defective, we will repair it, replace the motor and/or housing, or replace the fan.
We will provide replacements in this case at no charge to you. DO NOT install a Swingfan that has broken parts. Contact us immediately prior to installation.

No – all parts must be Swingfan original parts. Servicing the fan on your own may void your warranty.
The warranty on a Swingfan is maintained from the original purchase date. In the event of replacements parts after the warranty period is over, the replacement part is warrantied for a period of ninety days.
